A Stranger Session is a unique photography experience where two people who have never met before are paired together for a fun, creative photoshoot. Not at all! Stranger Sessions are designed for everyday people. I'll guide you through the entire session with prompts and poses to help you feel comfortable and confident.

How are participants selected?

Participants are chosen based on their application, personality, availability, and willingness to participate. The goal is to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Will I know who I'm paired with beforehand?

That depends on the session format. Some participants may receive limited information beforehand, while others won't meet their paired stranger until the day of the session.

Is this a dating session?

No. Stranger Sessions are not intended to be dating or matchmaking events. They are creative photography experiences focused on human connection, storytelling, and authentic interactions.

What should I wear?

Participants will receive wardrobe recommendations before the session. Neutral colors, solid tones, and outfits that reflect your personality typically photograph best.

What happens if I'm shy or nervous?

That's completely normal! Most participants start out feeling a little nervous. The session is designed to be fun, relaxed, and pressure-free, helping everyone feel comfortable quickly.

Can I bring a friend or family member?

You're welcome to bring someone for support, but they may be asked to wait nearby during the actual session so participants can interact naturally.

How long does the session last?

Most Stranger Sessions last between 45 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the location, activities, and creative vision for the shoot.

Will I receive photos from the session?

Yes! Selected edited images will be provided according to the package or participation agreement outlined before the session.

What if I don't connect with the other participant?

That's okay! The goal isn't to force a connection but to capture authentic interactions. Every session is unique, and genuine reactions often make for the most memorable photographs.

Can I request a specific age range or participant type?

You may indicate preferences on your application, and reasonable accommodations will be considered when making pairings.

Will my photos be shared online?

Only with your permission as outlined in the model release or participation agreement. Be sure to review all photography usage terms before the session.

What should I bring?

Bring a positive attitude, an open mind, and anything requested before the session, such as a change of clothes, water, or personal items relevant to the shoot. Male participants may bring a bouquet of flowers.

Is there a cost to participate?

I do require a fee of $40 from each individual that is paired, there will be no other costs, and you will have access to the images.
